In the early 1700's, wealthy English landowners bought up the land of village farmers. They then surrounded that land with either fences or hedges, and experimented on new ways to grow crops more productively. This unveiled the method of Crop Rotation, which is still used today. The English population grew and thrived with these new techniques. Industrialization grew from a combination of a large population, natural resources, rivers, and a stable economy. A new class emerged as the need for maintenance of machines grew; the Working class.
